These chocolate-covered marshmallow pops are the kind of Valentine’s treat that looks cute but barely takes any effort.

These chocolate-covered marshmallow pops are one of my go-to Valentine’s treats when I need something cute fast.
They’re great for classroom parties, bake sales, or just dropping a few into treat bags and calling it done.
You don’t have to bake anything, which already makes them a win in my house.
It’s basically marshmallows, chocolate, and sprinkles but somehow it feels special.
My youngest loves helping with the dipping part, even though it usually turns into a chocolatey mess.
I don’t mind because she’s having fun and it’s actually easy to clean up.
These are the kind of treats that don’t stress me out, even on a busy week.
Plus they always disappear fast, which tells me they’re doing something right.
What You Need to Make Marshmallow Pops

- Marshmallows – Big fluffy ones work best here because they’re easier to dip and don’t fall apart.
- Lollipop sticks or paper straws – These turn the marshmallows into pops and make them way easier to eat without sticky fingers.
- Chocolate chips – I usually use semi-sweet but honestly use whatever chocolate you already have.
- Coconut oil or shortening – Just a little bit helps the chocolate melt smoothly and look nicer when it sets.
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles – This is where they get fun and cute, and kids will absolutely judge your sprinkle choices.
- Candy melts – Totally optional but nice if you want pink or red drizzle without fussing with food coloring.
How to Make Marshmallow Pops

1. Set Up the Marshmallows
Stick a lollipop stick or paper straw into each marshmallow, pushing it in about halfway so it feels sturdy.
Lay them out on parchment paper so they’re ready to go.
This part goes faster if you do a little assembly line on the counter.
2. Melt the Chocolate
Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second bursts, stirring each time.
It might look weird at first but keep stirring and it’ll turn smooth.
If it gets too thick, warm it for another short burst.
3. Dip the Marshmallows
Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate and twist it around to coat the whole thing.
Tap it gently on the side of the bowl to knock off extra chocolate so it doesn’t pool at the bottom.
This part can get messy and that’s normal.
4. Add the Sprinkles
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle them right away so they actually stick.
I usually hold the marshmallow over the bowl and sprinkle from the top to save a little cleanup.
This is also where kids like to take over.
5. Let Them Set
Place the pops upright in a cup or poke them into a foam block to dry.
You can leave them on the counter or pop them in the fridge if you’re impatient like me.
They’ll be ready once the chocolate is firm and not tacky.

Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Pops Everyone Loves
These marshmallow pops are easy to make, look cute on a table, and don’t require turning the oven on (which I always appreciate).
They work really well for parties, bake sales, or even just a fun afternoon project at home.
I like letting the kids help, even if it gets a little messy, because that’s half the fun.
And honestly, anything that disappears this fast is usually worth making again.
