Want to make something that looks decadent while taking no time at all? These cookie cups are the perfect Valentine’s Day treat when you want something easy and fancy.

Valentine’s Day cookies are kind of a big deal around here, and these white chocolate strawberry sugar cookie cups (that’s a mouthful!) are always the first thing my kids ask for.
The second I mention making them, everyone is suddenly hovering in the kitchen.
They love the soft cookie, the melty white chocolate, and the little bits of strawberry mixed in.
I love that they look cute without a lot of extra effort, because some days that’s all I’ve got.
These are one of those treats that feel special but still totally doable on a busy day.
Ingredients for This Valentine Treat!

- Butter – This makes the cookie cups rich and soft, and yes it really does need to be softened or it’s a pain.
- Granulated sugar – Keeps the cookies sweet and gives them that classic sugar cookie flavor.
- Egg – Helps everything stick together and gives the cookies a softer texture.
- Vanilla extract – Adds that warm bakery smell that makes everyone wander into the kitchen.
- All purpose flour – The base of the dough and what actually turns this into a cookie.
- Baking powder – Gives the cookie cups just a little lift so they’re not dense.
- Salt – Balances out the sweetness so they don’t taste flat.
- White chocolate chips – Melty, sweet, and honestly the best part of the filling.
- Fresh strawberries – Adds a little freshness and makes them feel extra special without much effort.
How to Make Them

1. Preheat and Prep
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin really well because these like to stick.
If you forget this step you’ll regret it later when you’re trying to pry them out.
Use nonstick spray and get into the corners
2. Cream the Butter and Sugar
Beat the butter and sugar together until it looks fluffy and lighter in color.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, just mixed enough that it doesn’t look grainy.
If your butter is still a little cold, give it a few extra minutes
3. Add the Wet Ingredients
Mix in the egg and vanilla until everything comes together.
The batter might look slightly weird at first but it smooths out quickly.
Scrape down the sides so nothing gets left behind
4. Mix in the Dry Ingredients
Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until a soft dough forms.
Stop mixing once it comes together or the cookies can turn out tough.
I usually switch to a spatula here so I don’t overdo it
5. Fold in the Chocolate and Strawberries
Gently stir in the white chocolate chips and strawberries so they don’t get smashed.
This part gets messy and that’s fine.
If your strawberries are super juicy, pat them dry first
6. Press Into the Pan
Scoop the dough into the muffin tin and press it down and up the sides to form little cups.
They don’t have to look perfect, they bake up nicer than you think.
Use the bottom of a glass or your fingers, both work
7. Bake and Shape
Bake until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look set.
While they’re still warm, gently press the centers down if they puffed up.
