16 Easter Rice Krispie Treats To Make This Easter

Easter is coming up and I am SO ready for my annual rice krispie treat tradition with the girls.

These treats are our special thing every Easter and they’re so easy to customize.

Adding different colors is my little one’s favorite part.

Last year she dumped in so many pink sprinkles I thought we’d all end up with pink teeth! Worth it though.

The other kiddo always wants to make hers look like little nests for the chocolate eggs. Pretty clever actually.

My oldest used to be so into helping but now that shes in middle school shes “too cool” for family baking.

Though she still eats plenty of them! Funny how that works.

Its definately one of those treats that are perfect for little helpers or honestly sometimes I make them myself after bedtime with a glass of wine and some music. Mommy therapy!

If your looking for an easy Easter activity grab those marshmallows and get ready for some sticky fun!

Just remember to butter your hands or youll be picking marshmallow off your fingers for hours (learned that one the hard way)!

Easter Rice Krispie Treat Ideas

Easter rice krispie treats are my secret weapon for looking like super mom with basically zero effort, and my girls love decorating them with pastel sprinkles and shaping them into bunnies for baskets and our dessert table.

Here are some nifty Easter rice krispie treat ideas!

1. Bird Nest Treats

These Easter rice krispie nests are seriously the cutest things for this time, plus they’re way easier than they look which is always a win!

Just press the warm rice krispie mix into muffin tins and make a little dent with your fingers or a spoon (butter your fingers first or you’ll be picking sticky marshmallow off for hours, learned that one the hard way).

Next, add the “eggs” which can be any small candy, though we usually use those mini chocolate eggs.

I always drizzle a little melted chocolate inside first so the candies stick better. Once they’re cool just pop them out and watch them disappear faster than my chances of ever having a clean kitchen again!

2. Peeps Rice Krispie Treats

If you’re a Peeps fanatic like me (my husband thinks they taste gross but more for me!) these rice krispie treats are about to become your new Easter obsession!

Just whip up your basic rice krispie recipe and while theyre still warm and gooey press those colorful little Peeps bunnies or chicks right into the top so they stick perfectly.

The bright colors look so festive against the cereal mix and honestly its the easiest way to dress up a basic treat for Easter without spending hours decorating.

I usually cut them into squares with one Peep per square but sometimes I get lazy and just slice wherever, because lets be honest theyre getting devoured in 2 seconds anyway.

Once theyre completely cool (if you can wait that long) slice them up and watch them disappear from your counter.

3. Bunny Shaped Treats

These bunny-shaped rice krispie treats are seriously the cutest Easter dessert and they take barely any effort which is exactly what I need during holiday chaos!

After mixing up your basic rice krispie recipe, spread the whole batch onto a lined baking sheet and let it cool just enough to hold shape but still be soft enough to cut (about 5 minutes if youre impatient like me).

Use your bunny cookie cutters to press out the shapes, then go wild with decorations like chocolate dips, sprinkles, or little candy eyes and noses (I found the cutest ones at Target last year in the baking section).

Once everything sets up completely they peel right off the parchment and look like you spent hours on them instead of the 15 minutes it actually took!

4. Rice Krispie Treat Pops On a Stick

Easter rice krispie treats on sticks are my absolute favorite dessert to make when I want something cute without spending hours in the kitchen (because who has that kind of time with three soccer schedules to juggle)!

Just spread your rice krispie mixture onto parchment paper, let it firm up slightly, then use Easter cookie cutters to make bunnies, eggs, or chicks before gently pushing popsicle sticks or paper straws into the bottom of each shape (pro tip: dip the stick ends in melted chocolate first so they stay put better).

The best part is decorating them with chocolate dips, pastel sprinkles, or coconut “fur.”

5. M&M’s Rice Krispie Treats

Easter calls for rice krispies with pastel M&Ms! Mix those pretty candies into your warm cereal mixture just before pressing into the pan.

They’ll melt slightly and create gorgeous color swirls throughout. Scatter extra M&Ms on top while still soft for a fancy finish.

Once cool, cut into squares and watch them disappear before dinner!

6. Pastel Layered Rice Krispie Bars

Mix butter and marshmallows in a big pot, then stir in rice krispies until fully coated. Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add different pastel food colorings for Easter vibes.

My secret shortcut is using Peeps instead of regular marshmallows for instant color (plus it uses up all those Peeps everyone gives me)!

Press each colored layer gently with wax paper, not too hard or they’ll turn into bricks.

Let everything cool completely before cutting into squares and watching them vanish from your counter faster than my free time on soccer tournament weekends!

7. Egg-Shaped Treats

These Easter egg rice krispie treats are absolutely adorable and super simple for holiday gatherings!

Whip up your basic rice krispie mixture then butter your hands really well and shape small handfuls into egg shapes while still warm.

Color options are endless. Go ahead and mix in food coloring, dip in chocolate, or coat with candy melts for that pretty pastel look (I found the cutest spring colors at Michaels last week).

Sprinkles make everything more festive so don’t be shy about adding those little dots of color to make them extra special.

Place them on wax paper to set completely which is honestly the hardest part because the waiting is torture when they look this good!

8. Layered Rice Krispie Cake

This Easter rice krispie layer cake looks super impressive but requires basically zero skill which is exactly my kind of holiday dessert!

Press your warm rice krispie mixture into round cake pans (butter them first or you’ll have a sticky disaster like I did last year), let them cool completely, then stack them with frosting or melted chocolate between each layer.

Top the whole thing with more frosting, Easter sprinkles, and candy eggs before slicing into wedges that will make everyone think you spent way more time in the kitchen than you actually did!

9. Sprinkle-Filled Treats

These birthday cake rice krispie treats are my go-to when I need something festive looking without spending hours in the kitchen!

Stir colorful pastel sprinkles right into your warm rice krispie mixture, then immediately press into your pan and cover the top with even MORE sprinkles.

Press everything down gently so those pretty sprinkles stick, then let cool completely before cutting into squares.

10. Rice Krispie Flower Treats

These flower rice krispie pops are the cutest way to celebrate spring and they take barely any effort (which is exactly what I need during soccer season)!

Press your warm rice krispie mixture into a lined baking sheet, cool slightly, then cut flower shapes with cookie cutters before gently inserting lollipop sticks or colorful paper straws into the bottom of each bloom.

Decorate with icing, sprinkles, or candy centers to make them extra festive, then let them set completely before displaying in a mason jar as an edible centerpiece that will impress everyone at Easter brunch!

11. Mini Rice Krispie Bites

These mini Easter rice krispie bites are perfect for parties and so much easier to serve than cutting squares! Just spoon the warm mixture into mini muffin tins and press down gently with buttered fingers or the back of a spoon.

Add pastel sprinkles, mini chocolate eggs, or those tiny bunny candies to make them extra festive.

Once completely set, pop them out with a butter knife serve.

12. Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats

These cake batter rice krispie treats are my absolute Easter favorite and taste like birthday cake in the best possible way!

Just stir a few tablespoons of funfetti cake mix into your melted marshmallow mixture before adding the cereal (this little trick makes them taste so much fancier with zero extra work).

Add plenty of pastel Easter sprinkles throughout and on top while still warm so they stick properly, then let everything cool completely before cutting into squares.

13. Rice Krispie Carrots

These carrot rice krispie treats are adorable Easter showstoppers!

Tint your mixture orange, then shape into little carrot cones with buttered hands.

Add green candy melt “tops” to complete the carrot look, then display in a basket for instant holiday cuteness!

14. Rice Krispie Egg Surprise

These candy-filled rice krispie eggs are my secret weapon for impressing everyone at Easter brunch!

Spray plastic Easter eggs with cooking spray then press warm rice krispie mixture into both halves, leaving room in the center.

Fill with mini chocolate eggs or M&Ms before pressing the halves together and letting cool completely.

Once set, pop them out for the cutest treat-filled eggs that look fancy but take almost zero effort!

15. Chick Rice Krispie Treats

These rice krispie chicks are the cutest Easter treats and so simple to make! Shape warm mixture into small balls for chick bodies while still soft and pliable.

Add mini chocolate chip eyes and orange sprinkle beaks (I use those little candy carrot decorations from the baking aisle).

Dip in yellow candy melts for that perfect spring look that will disappear from your dessert table faster than my patience on weekday mornings!

16. Mini Egg Rice Krispie Treats

Easter rice krispie treats with mini eggs are seriously the easiest dessert that everyone goes crazy for!

Stir chocolate mini eggs right into your warm mixture where they get slightly melty and create these amazing chocolate swirls throughout.

Press everything into your pan and immediately top with more mini eggs while still warm so they stick properly.

Once cool, cut into squares that will vanish faster than my free time during spring soccer season!

Sweet Treats for Every-Bunny!

Easter rice krispie treats are my holiday secret weapon!

So simple but everyone acts like you’re some kind of dessert genius.

Go ahead and make bunnies, eggs or nests, or anything you like in this list and you’ll see they’re always be the first thing gone from any dessert table.

Trust me, grab those marshmallows and make extra because they disappear quickly!
